Description of responsibilities

Monthly close process – Prepare monthly standard journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, and account reconciliations

Prepare federal, state and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with established guidelines

Monitor and analyze freight cost for accuracy and possible future cost savings

Management of the Fixed Asset process, policy, and procedure

Assist in analyzing the financial statements on a monthly basis and reporting on variances

Assist in preparation of reports for the annual audit and work with audit team to assure completion in a timely manner

Preparation of the Sales and Use Tax reports

Other projects as assigned

Requirements

Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

3-5 years experience in a privately held company

Must have very hands on accounting experience

May require availability for extended and weekend hours during peak periods

Must be extremely professional and polished
